Conduct

Our living/learning community can help you get the most out of UC Berkeley’s world-class education and campus experience. To ensure that all students are able to have a positive experience in the residence halls, each student must take responsibility for his or her behavior. Residential community standards are designed to help you be successful in the residence halls and at Berkeley.

All UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff are responsible for conducting themselves in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others or interfere with the educational function of the University. In carrying out your responsibilities as a student and a residential community member, it is important that you know the Residential Code of Conduct and the Residential Conduct Process.

If you are concerned about another student’s conduct, there are a number of resources for you. You have a range of options, including talking to someone in confidence and formally reporting the behavior. A great place to start is by talking with your Resident Assistant or your Resident Director. Stop by your RA’s room or your RD’s office to chat!
