Hi! My name is Em Huang, my pronouns are they/them, and I serve as the Resident Director for Norton and Spens-Black Halls and the UNITY Theme Program, which focuses on gender and sexual diversity. Before coming to UC Berkeley, I earned a B.A. in sociology at the University of Southern California and completed my M.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration at the University of Vermont. I grew up in Southern California, so I’m happy to have returned to the good food and weather in my home state! My interests center on social justice education and equity work, particularly around issues affecting queer and trans students of color. In my free time, you can find me playing music, volleyball, snowboarding, hanging out with my cat Mowgli, and geeking out about Grey’s Anatomy and Steven Universe.
